Our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility, conveniently located just south of Faulkner Hospital and across from the Arnold Arboretum, houses two senior living communities with easy access to all the amenities and attractions of Boston, while nestled between conservation land and the scenic Arnold Arboretum.
The Residences at Snow Place is an independent retirement community that is affordable by most homeowners. There are sixty-six independent living apartments, available through the purchase of a membership in our community. Residents then pay a relatively low monthly carrying charge and have the opportunity to purchase supportive services such as meals, housekeeping, laundry and transportation on an a la carte basis.
Sharing the campus is Sophia Snow House, offering 24 hour Residential Care. We are licensed by the Department of Public Health and provide a little more than most assisted living programs. Services include 24 hour care, nursing staff on site, private one bedroom suites with bath, housekeeping, laundry service, medication administration, activities, transportation, and three meals daily in a homelike setting.
Both of these communities, known together as Sophia Snow Place, are sponsored by Sophia Snow House, Inc./ Roxbury Home for Aged Women, Inc., a non-profit provider of affordable residential care in Boston for over 150 years.
